With it's swift rhythm and provocative ideas, Surprise Party revolves around conflicts in views and relationships between couples, friends, and characters of different genders and generations of the contemporary Iranian immigrants residing in Toronto, Canada; addressing some serious issues including social and cultural topics, gender and sexuality and various aspect of female identity within the Iranian-Canadian community.
