Strövtåg i Gamla Stan / Ramble in Gamla Stan

Gamla Stan är pärlan i mitten av den kungliga huvudstaden. En fantastisk ö med unika miljöer som samlar människor från när och fjärran.

Om jag som fotograf har ambitionen att förnya dokumentationen av Gamla Stan så blir det antagligen svårt, för Gamla Stan är redan fotograferad ur alla perspektiv som fysikens lagar medger. Men om jag istället har ambitionen att fotografera människorna i Gamla Stan, då blir möjligheterna oändliga.

"Strövtåg i Gamla Stan" är en serie bilder, gatufotografi om man så vill, fotograferade under mina många vandringar längs gator och gränder i stadsdelen. Det handlar om människor jag besökt men framför allt handlar det om människor jag mött. Boken är indelad i ett antal mindre avsnitt, varje avsnitt inleds med några enkla rader.

Boken är tvåspråkig, svenska och engelska.

The Gamla Stan (The Old Town) is the pearl in the middle of Stockholm, the royal capital of Sweden. A stunning island with unique environments that bring people from far and wide.

If I as a photographer have the ambition to renew the documentation of the Gamla Stan it would probably be difficult, the Gamla Stan is already photographed from every perspective that the laws of physics allow. But if I instead have the ambition to take photographs of the people in the Gamla Stan, then the possibilities are endless.

"Ramble in Old Town" is a series of images, street photography if you will, photographed during my many walks along the streets and alleys in the district. It's about people I have visited but above all it's about the people I've met. The book is divided into a number of smaller sections, each section begins with a few simple lines.

The book is bilingual, English and Swedish.
