Story of the Buddha

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. You will see that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the facts from the legends which were added in later years. But, after all, why should we trouble ourselves about these things? We know that the events of chief importance in the Buddha's beautiful life are historical facts, and that is all that really matters.
