Stories of Immortals

It is written by Gan Bao, a historian in the early Eastern Jin Dynasty. Now it exists 20 volumes with more than 400 stories. The stories mainly focus on ghosts and gods based on historical myths and legends handed down from the Western Han Dynasty and folk stories in Wei and Jin Dynasties. The stories collected in the book involve fairy magicians, fairies and monsters, karma, gratitude and love between people, gods and ghosts, as well as some anecdotes and many folklore, most of which are short in length, simple in plot, fantastic in imagination, full of romantic colors, and very popular among readers.
