The volume starts from disruption theory considerations and shows to what extent the Corona pandemic has become a disruptive event with transboundary effects. From a global perspective, the pandemic affects all subsystems of society and has triggered corresponding reactions. The contributions ask in what way politics and the media, among others, are acting in the exceptional situation that has arisen.
