The Squirrels of Saltus Fidelis is a series of books about a royal society of intelligent squirrels who inhabit the land of Saltus Fidelis. Their mission is seek out and rescue injured or orphaned squirrels or animals from the "Globe of the Earth" and offer them safe haven. The animals of earth have united against Saltus Fidelis believing that the rescue missions are actually invasions and kidnappings. In great world catastrophes, temporary alliances are briefly forged. In Peggy and the Incident and Mt Saint Helens, Peggy must find the Crow that she encountered at Tunguska and intercede his help again. Will he trust her and all of Saltus Fidelis?
