Space is the name for the areas of the universe that are between planets, stars, and galaxies.

Right now, there are people living in space; they are astronauts. Astronaut is an old word meaning "sailor in the stars." Astronauts have to breathe, sleep, stay clean, do exercise, work, and use the toilet just like we do. But how they do these activities is very different. Living in space is like living in another world.
