Sometime Saints/Part-time Sinners: A Collection of Stories

"He's a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction."This lyric from an early 1970s song written by Kris Kristofferson resonated the first time I heard it and has continued to vibrate for almost a half century. I've never known a wholly-holy person or one entirely devilish. They no doubt exist, but their stories do little to inform those of us who dwell in a world where light and darkness merge: sometimes we're a saint/sometimes we're a sinner
