Something Wicked

Something Wicked is the sequel to Something Sketchy. Both stories take place primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Something Wicked is the continuing story of an attorney named Elyse Cates and her boyfriend, Trip, who met while working on a case at Sullivan and Clark, Attorneys at Law. Trip was formerly a private investigator for said firm but now is embarking on a career with the U.S. Marshals Service. Elyse, also known as Shoes, now volunteers for The Innocence Project of Texas. It was through this work with The Innocence Project that she and Trip, along with their Dallas Police Department friends, Elliot and Smally, find themselves trying to free a wrongly convicted mother, find her idiotic husband, and dismantle a child sex trafficking operation. Their endeavors eventually take them to Puerto Rico where they meet a new ally, Ramon. Despite the subject matter, Something Wicked is a fun, upbeat read.
