Six Seconds of Darkness

The leader of a reformist political movement to root out political corruption in the city, Edward Hamilton is murdered, and the local Police Department is mightily confused when three people turn themselves in as the killer and confess the murder. First one is the victim's beautiful ward; second one is an elderly loon who for years has been accusing the victim of swindling him; and the third and final one is the fiance of the beautiful ward. Police Commissioner Hall pulls the atypical move and turns over this high interest murder investigation to a private investigator David Carroll believing he is the only one who can solve the mystery.
