Growing up, Della channeled all her grief and rage into being a better gunslinger than the kid. When she's arrested trying to rob a train, she thinks she's at the end of her rope. But the U.S. Marshals need a special kind of undercover deputy to track down a rogue agent, and she just might be deadly enough to do it. If she succeeds, she will receive a full presidential pardon and help finding Pat Garrett, the man who filled her father.

But the murder of Della's pa taught her two things: stand by your family and trust no one. The two lessons clash when she meets the charming Shade Outlaw and she realizes their quests for vengeance are intertwined. Soon, Della is torn between the irresistible desperado and her pursuit of the sheriff who killed her father.
