Greer accepts an invitation from Spencer to attend a fundraiser at a swanky country club, expecting his unwanted focus to be the price of the free meal. She did not anticipate running into Fiona Appleby, an elemental force of a woman known throughout Denver for her support to women escaping abusive situations. Nor did Greer foresee Fiona, barely a half hour later, dying. Practically in her lap. Poisoned. A trespasser in Greer's apartment later that night says Fiona is not the only one on the chopping block, though the intruder was unaware of her able-titties. An intruder who should be using his powers to uphold the law, instead of breaking it, but a conspiracy is smoldering. And Greer is not the only frog in the frying pan.
