Shark in the Tub

The inspiration for A Shark in the Tub was Sonya's daughter, Tara, who was terrified of getting into the bathtub after seeing the movie, "e;Jaws"e;. She was in late grade school at the time. Tara's sister, Trish, and brother, Tyler, tormented her by humming the "e;Jaws"e; movie theme song! For about a week, Tara would not put her feet in the tub and insisted on straddling the tub sides when showering. She had frightening thoughts of sharks being in the water.
