Serra da Canastra

The Serra da Canastra National Park was established in 1972, in an area that already had a traditional resident population: the Canastreiros. After more than forty years of land conflicts, it is urgent to think about solutions to ensure that all rights are observed; both the right to the environment ecologically balanced, and the right to culture and territory of the original peoples.Faced with a model of environmental conservation that does not allow for the appropriation of natural resources and the harmonious coexistence of human beings with nature, the challenge is greater than it seems.This book is the publication of a monograph to conclude the Law course, and it is important in a case study, seeking possible solutions to the Canastra case.
