Jay Karo is a towering figure in matters of faith as his son Noelaspires to be. Noel's confidence is shaken when his fatherand founding pastor of Woodlands City Congregation, diessuddenly. His father's closest ally Pastor Seth, turns his backon him and splits the congregation, moving on to start anotherchurch. As a result, Noel has to begin again and build his ownspiritual legacy even as numbers continue to diminish at thechurch to an all time low. He is faced with the option of usingtricks and brainwashing gullible members of the populace tomake money or stay true. Noel discovers that being in a citycongregation is anything but a walk in the park as he confrontschallenges like urbanisation, poverty, illiteracy, black magic, race, language and the epidemic of greed for money facing theChristian faith, from a Kenyan and African context.
