Mara and her team of God's chosen warriors must find a precious holy artifact hidden inside a one-thousand-year-old cavern while staying mere steps ahead of the demon Xerkamedes' foul-smelling servants, the myrmidons.

To gain the information they need, the team must interrogate and rely on the intel from one of the most heinous criminals they've ever encountered. Then they must fight myrmidons and overcome personal and physical endeavors, which puts Mara and her team not only at odds with their enemies but with each other.

Will they find the precious artifact in time and should they believe the information given by a cold-blooded killer? Will this dangerous mission finally take the life of one of their own, and will they succeed in defeating Xerkamedes?
