A visit to the Tower almost certainly meant a death sentence. After the two Princes were confined to the Tower, they were never seen again. There were many theories as to what had happened to them; that they had drowned,been poisoned, or possibly suffocated. Some thought they were still alive, but most believed they had met their fate at the hands of their uncle- The Black Legend.
