Review of Opportunities for the Pacific WASH Sector

The water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector plays a key role in enabling a healthier population in the Pacific and in building countries' resilience to public health emergencies such as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This publication looks at the impact of the pandemic on the WASH sector in the 14 Pacific developing member countries of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It proposes strategic directions to help ADB's technical assistance support a more resilient and sustainable WASH sector as the region continues to manage the disease while seeking to reopen borders and economic activity.
