Representative Democracy and Education

Democracy is a system of governance in which power is exercised by the people and they, through their collective imaginations and cultures, draw up common programs for the country's development, both economically and socially. The starting point is the motivations that led Severino Ngoenha to think about a contractual and intercultural project for Mozambique. From there, it is proposed to suggest answers to the challenges facing education in Mozambique, analyzing the classic theories of the curriculum in order to find points of convergence in them with critical or modern theories and from them to design theoretical and practical mechanisms for an education that is both democratic and liberating, theoretical and practical in order to respond to current problems.
