Report on the Elderly in the Netherlands 2006: Changes in Living Conditions and Lifecourse

This publication presents a broad overview of the living situation of the elderly in the Netherlands and of changes that have taken place over the last fifteen years in their social position and participation. Special attention is devoted to the elderly at greatest risk.

A separate section looks at the life course of the elderly. The main focus is on the consequences of major life events for older persons, such as deterioration in health, retirement, and losing a partner.
