Rectifying the Path: A Viable Alternative Model for Bolivia

The critical time which we live today -at early XXI century once again raises doubts about the viability of the Bolivian State and society; with the difference that this time the doubt is supported by the neo-liberal model of global validity, denying the possibility of survival to those nation states that have not proved their worthiness to be constituted as such; mainly because of a perceived lack of training of its society organized and managed efficiently. The path followed by Bolivia, from its founding to the present, seems to agree with this view. It is in this context that "Rectifying the Path - A Viable Alternative Model for Bolivia", a book by the economist Marco Antonio Eguino Hum rez, also reveal the real causes that determined the comparative backwardness of Bolivia, not only with the world's richest countries, but with its neighbors, and explain why this situation is a constant throughout its history; It proposes an alternative economically and politically viable model, which allows the country to amend the mistakes made so far, and be able to, on the basis thereof, constitute a society and a state that offer a near future of prosperity, progress and dignity for all Bolivians.
