Through nuanced anthropological accounts of Muslim men's everyday lives in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and diasporic communities in the West, Reconceiving Muslim Men challenges pervasive Western stereotypes of Muslim men as patriarchal and oppressive by demonstrating instead the diverse and creative ways in which they seek love and fulfillment within marriage, family, and community life.
