Born to a privileged family, Jin-Chen Camilla Wang's life was quickly turned from prosperously affluent to less than modest when communists overtook the Chinese Mainland. Her family, like many others, fled to Taiwan. They lost all their wealth and possessions in the process. Her parents struggled to rebuild their lives amidst all adversities. This memoir is an honest account of her life in Taiwan and in America, a life laden with both tragedies and triumphs.
