Priscilla the Magnificent

Kidnapped as a child from her native British Isles to be raised as a Roman, young Priscilla refuses to bend to life as a Roman citizen. After a forbidden tryst with a slave boy named Thad, Priscilla is married off to a powerful senator as a teenager. Ever defiant, she is then sold into slavery and ends up at the dreaded gladiator school - a place where no one is expected to survive for more than a year. Priscilla not only survives but thrives and becomes Rome's most famous and popular female gladiator. During one of her many battles, she is reunited with Thad, who is also a popular gladiator. Together again, the lovers fight the might of the Roman Empire and Emperor Nero with the hope of someday returning to their native homelands.
