Prints and Their Makers invites art enthusiasts on a tour of the top printmaking workshops around the world. Master printer Phil Sanders places today’s fine art printmaking in the context of printing traditions and techniques developed over more than a thousand years. Clear and engaging explanations illuminate the seven major printmaking processes, from lithography to chine collé. Sanders showcases the collaborative aspect of printmaking among artists, printers, and publishers. Case studies show the process of celebrated artists with their work photographed at each stage of creation.
