Prevalence of depression and anxiety symptoms in university students

Brazil has the highest rate of people with anxiety disorders in the world and the fifth highest with depression. And university students are an important risk group for developing mental illnesses during their academic life. Therefore, knowing how to identify early symptoms of these disorders is of paramount importance, not only for epidemiological studies, but also to improve knowledge and management of these pathologies that are still stigmatised by society.
