Presidential System and Political Reform in Turkey

Today, Turkey stands on the threshold of political and economic development. The process of democratization has resulted in the transition to the republican presidential system. Turkey is progressing rapidly in a new political phase, one of the most important stages in its history, towards the full implementation of the presidential system and with the upcoming presidential elections after the results of the vote on the constitutional amendments on April 16, 2017 and the subsequent acceptance of those amendments. This book highlights the reality of the presidential system in Turkey and its basic dimensions, especially political, constitutional and social dimensions, through an objective and realistic presentation that focuses on the actual need for Turkey to move towards the presidential system to ensure political stability.
