Post-Modern Poetry

The world that we live in is much different than it was 10, 20, or 30 years ago. Long gone are the days of people trying to be self-sufficient using garden tools on land passed down through generations. This is a post-modern world after all of the philosophizing and art grandeur of the past. This is the age of technology, advertising, and self-actualization.

Jeremy Alexander Duhart lays out some of the characteristics of this post-modern age in poems like "Marketer" and "Simulacrum." Other pieces reflect on the nature of people living in this time period such as "Worry" and "Distracted."
