This study of the Argentinian writer, Manuel Puig, is written for an English-speaking audience and analyzes aspects of his novels, summarizes the important body of criticism which is only available in Spanish, and provides a biographical sketch of the man. Professor Lavers makes available for the first time in English selections from interviews with the writer, as well as readings from his books. The author has also written a novel, ""The Northwest Passage"", and a biography, ""Jerzy Kosinski"".
