"e;Poems of Adoration"e; is a 1912 collection of poems by Michael Field. Michael Field served as the joint pen name for Edith Emma Cooper (1862-1913) and her aunt Katharine Harris Bradley (1846-1914). Together, they produced around 40 works under the secret pseudonym until they were exposed, possibly as a result of revealing their identity to their friend Robert Browning. A fantastic collection of classic poetry not to be missed by fans and collectors of the secretive duo's wonderful work. The poems include: "e;Desolation"e;, "e;Entbehren Sollst Du"e;, "e;Fregit"e;, "e;Sicut Parvuli"e;, "e;Aurum, Thus, et Myrrha-Alleluia"e;, "e;Holy Communion"e;, "e;Of Silence"e;, "e;Real Presence, "e;From the Highway"e;, "e;'That He Should Taste Death for Every Man'"e;, "e;Nimis Honorati Sunt"e;, "e;Blessed are the Beggars Matt. V. 3"e;, "e;The Blessed Sacrament"e;, etc. Other notable works by Field include: "e;The Father's Tragedy"e; (1885), "e;Bellerophon"e; (1881), and "e;The Tragic Mary"e; (1890). As part of our poetry imprint "e;Ragged Hand"e; Read & Co. is republishing this classic collection of poetry now in a new edition complete with a biography from "e;The New Universal Encyclopaedia, Vol IV"e; (1922).
