Planting By the Signs: Mountain Gardening

An Appalachian farmer’s almanac, “Planting by the Signs” is a valuable resource for the gardener looking for time-honored tips for clearing land and growing vegetables from the people who originally pioneered the art through hard work (and a little bit of luck).
