49The Plans I Have for You is an autobiographical memoir that we can all learn from. Luke chronicles the major parts of his whole life, with the climactic part of the story being a near-death injury when he was a soldier. Luke's passion and love for God, his family, and the game of baseball is what pushed him through the ups and downs of life.He has written this story not to show any greatness of himself but instead of the greatness of God. Luke ends every chapter with a Bible verse that sums up the spiritual meaning of that part of his life that the chapter gives. Luke's family, friends, the US Army, and his undergraduate university meant so much to him, and this story was written with the goal of bringing honor and thanks to each.His story is meant to teach one important lesson: whether you are having the best day of your life or the worst, God has a good and exciting plan for your life. Just as God stayed with Luke in the good and bad of his life, he is confident that God will do the same for you as well.
