Plain Treatise on Horse-Shoeing

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Nailing an iron shoe to a living horse's foot is a very unnatural thing to do; but, as it must be done, it is our duty to see how we can do it with the least injury to the horse. To show this, I will suppose myself addressing a young smith, who is about to shoe his first horse.
