How would you respond to a call from the heart of God?This is the story of how God's call came to a young man, J.S. Bell, at the early age of sixteen. Having grown up on a cotton farm in Tennessee, Bell planned to one day be an agriculture teacher, but God had a different plan. As the years unfolded, God revealed his call to Bell, which was to preach the gospel in an isolated, small community nestled in the mountains of Kentucky. Serving God in this mountain community brought both blessings and hardships. There were threats on Bell's life, financial hardship, long hours of study, prayer, and countless visits to homes of hurting people. Serving God was a pilgrimage of faith, day by day and hour by hour. Seed was sown.
