Pharmacoepidemiology in prescribing medicines to pregnant women

Results are presented that provide information on the relevance of the use of medicines in hospitalised pregnant women, allowing the design of intervention strategies that contribute to improving prescribing in this population, which favours the quality of medical care for patients, avoids complications due to inadequate use of pharmacotherapeutic resources, and economic savings due to unjustified use of drugs.
