The book "Personnel and Management: Selected Topics" is a collection of various essays focusing on one of the most topical problems in this field of research. The authors are well aware of the fact that this book presents only some individual topical chapters dealing with the issues of human resources and management. Nonetheless, they are convinced that this material can also have a significant impact on the deliberations about the development theory as well as its practical application in a given situation. The book has been published as the result of a long-term cooperation between the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Maribor, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Aachen and the European Centre of Integration Research (EZI) e.V., Aachen.
