Performing Arts Collections on the Offensive Les Collections D'arts Du Spectacle Passent a L'offensive

The 26th SIBMAS Congress was held in Vienna from August 28 to September 1, 2006. It was hosted and organized by the Austrian Theatre Museum. The theme of the congress was -Performing Arts Collections on the Offensive- and focused on the need for institutions with theatre collections to engage actively with their audiences and to promote their activities in order to make their collections more accessible to the public.
Le 26eme Congres de la SIBMAS s'est tenu a Vienne du 28 aout au 1er septembre 2006. Il etait accueilli et organise par le Musee autrichien du theatre. Le theme du congres - Les collections d'arts du spectacle passent a l'offensive - entendait souligner la necessite, pour les institutions possedant des collections en arts du spectacle, d'aller a la rencontre de leur public et de promouvoir leurs activites afin de rendre leurs collections plus accessibles."
