Patriotism and the Republic

This book analyzes patriotism in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), exploring its dimensions, challenges and impact on society. Structured in several chapters, it defines patriotism and examines its link with conflict, peace and national identity. In a complex context of social, economic and political issues, it seeks to understand how national culture, institutions and symbols reinforce a sense of belonging. The study is structured around six axes, including the history of patriotism and republican values. Combining qualitative and quantitative methods, it uses literature reviews, surveys and case studies. The results aim to show that patriotism can foster social cohesion and development, while advocating its revitalization through civic education and the promotion of fundamental values.
