Pain in Palmyra

A resolute young woman runs away from her overprotective, gilded home in Michigan. She encounters devious forces in New York City and falls into confusion, compromising her dreams. Suddenly, a chance for true love arrives in the most unexpected way. Just as her world feels perfect, she is kidnapped by a radical set of extremists who aim to force her into a ritualistic imprisonment.

Her new love, a dashing young private investigator, refuses to stop searching until he finds her. His quest leads him to a small historic town along the Erie Canal. With the help of his cynical boss and a local gunslinger Mormon police detective, the desperate hunt for his missing girlfriend continues. The police detective's assistance, however, comes with a price; the boss is entrusted to help the detective unearth a sacred golden artifact.

A contingent of fundamentalist zealots learn of the revered relic and they aim to capture the hallowed gold for their fanatic leaders. The saints of heaven and the spawns of hell clash within a granite-fortified temple of God. This epic battle is just a small precursor to the final showdown between the righteous saints and Satan's infernal army.
