Out of Pendant Cove

Once a cop, always a cop. Once a killer, always a killer. Deputy Mandy Spinnett was shot in the line of duty and nearly died. Now, she is physically fit, but PTSD forces her to seek a job that doesn't involve carrying a gun. As a member of campus security at a small northern Michigan university she may not carry a gun, but that doesn't mean she's working in a safe environment. After only a few weeks, her life begins spinning out of control and, once again, she's powerless to stop it. Women with a connection to the University are turning up dead, which brings FBI Special Agent Lance Hastings to campus. When a third woman goes missing, Lance believes there is a serial killer in his town. Looking for anything that might lead him to the missing woman and the killer, Lance enlists the help of Officer Mandy Spinnett. She thinks like a cop, she's a member of campus security and she has a personal relationship with the missing woman. Lance recognizes Mandy as a valued asset to his investigation. Unfortunately, she also bears a striking resemblance to the victims. With very little evidence to go on, Lance rushes against the clock to track down the killer. But he may already be too late to stop a madman who has turned his focus on Mandy.
