Our Savior's Identity

If you think that using the name of Jesus is some form of magic incantation,to get what you desire to come about, you are clearly missing the mark. The name of Jesus is not magic. Suppose you are a criminal and you wantto steal, kill, or destroy. Your use of Jesus to help you is not going to helpyour cause. Your role and character would be clearly out of line. Jesus andthe Father would have no obligation to honor what you said. Or, if you said a prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, keep me from beingarrested and being sent to prison for this criminal act. Do you really think that would help you, or that Jesus or Father is obligatedto do so? I think not. If you have never spent a minute learning the kind of authority that can beacquired, nor the power of prayer, nor the responsibility of a pupil of Jesusto understand his ways, do you really think Almighty will respond favorablyto you for what you pray?If you want to do what Jesus did, you will have to follow the path that putsyou in the role or position, character, authority, and appellation of Jesus identity, to act like him. If you really want to do that, this is a first step -- learn his identity!
