On Following Jesus

These are perilous times, and people need to prepare to live in these troubled times by being informed about the challenging environment, patterning their lives in a healthy way, and seeking a level of maturity so they can cope and live in a way that brings stability and deep peace. A place of stability and purpose can be arrived at by engaging in a life that is patterned after the life and teachings of Jesus, called by the first generation of Christians the Way of Jesus. The central value of this pattern of living is unconditional love, a commitment to the truth and a life of integrity, and seeking a more just society that leads to a culture of peace and collaboration. People need to prepare themselves for this way of life by cultivating a deep spirituality that will empower them to thoughtfully, carefully, and fully commit to the divine mission of love.
