Oceans & Flames

Oceans & Flames is a collection of poetry that sheds light on Lady Narrator's personal experience with, and survival of, domestic abuse, as well as her journey of self-rediscovery.Unfortunately, domestic violence often remains swept under the rug, especially when no visibly physical evidence is present. These poems vocalize the damages of psychological, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse, all of which are still categorized as domestic violence. They also touch upon the difficulty victims endure in the decision making process of escaping. Speaking out is only step one.
