This is a documental research of quantitative approach and had as a general objective to evaluate the incidence of contamination of occupational accidents with exposure to biological material in 2016 among professionals in a hospital unit. As specific objectives: To trace the profile of professional categories with the highest number of work accidents coefficient; Characterization of the source patients; Analyze the type of exposure of accidents with biological material; Analyze the evolution of cases of accidents associated with occupational exposure to biological material.
