Nunca me olvidaré de ti

La expresión «Nunca me olvidaré de ti» es una frase que proporciona consuelo en la despedida, da esperanza en la ausencia y reconforta en la necesidad. Sin embargo, dependiendo de quién la exprese puede ser como una caja vacía o tener todas las garantías de autenticidad. «¿Se olvidará la mujer de lo que dio a luz, para dejar de compadecerse del hijo de su viente? Aunque olvide ella, Yo nunca me olvidaré de ti» (Isaías 49:15). Estas palabras del profeta vienen acuñadas con el propio sello de Dios para su pueblo, y para inspirar suficiente confianza toma como referencia el lazo más fuerte que puede existir en las relaciones de los seres humanos: una madre y su hijo.

The expression “I will never forget you” gives consolation in farewells, hope in separation, and comfort in times of need. But depending on who expresses it, it can feel like an empty box or can have all the guarantees of authenticity. “Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!” (Isaiah 49:15 ). These words of the prophet are stamped with God’s own seal for his people. They inspire trust by showing that God’s bond with us is stronger than the strongest human bond: that between a mother and her child.
