Nichiren's sangha series Lay Disciples

Nakatsukasa Saburō saemon-no-jō Yorimoto, best known as Shijō Kingō, is perhaps one of the most iconic and inspiring lay followers of Nichiren. He has been actively supporting him through his whole life, while becoming a lay priest with the name of Shūgen'in Nichirai in retirement. This research will provide a broader perspective and attempt to depict Yorimoto as a person.
