The Nanny How To Manual is designed to help nannies and parents alike in the search for making the perfect connection in the job placement aspect. In this regard, the book takes you through a step-by-step process on how to find your nanny position by where to look, the interview process, negotiating the details of the position and then beginning the position once hired. Then it takes you through the day-to-day details of a nanny position: daily schedule, mealtimes, potty, sleep routines, etc. From this point the book becomes more detailed discussing play, learning and behavior. Specifically, how to play while encouraging socialization, age appropriate activities, activities outside of the home, understanding kids and learning through play. This book also covers interacting with parents in how to establish boundaries so everyone is happy and comfortable, examples of appropriate and inappropriate behavior and developing a network through parents. Lastly, we focus on the nannies long term plans and goals, negotiating a raise and how to give proper notice when terminating a position.
