My Mama Sara Bird

The title for this book was inspired by the love and protection that mothers should give to their children. Like mama birds protect and teach their young, the human race should do so much more for their children. The love and protection of a family can last a lifetime. For Sarah, that love would be tried and tested through the years with a stepfather whose physical and emotional abuse of her beloved mother would bring them to the brink of hatred. She lived with a longing to be a little girl with a real father and a passion to read like most of her friends. You will see that the simple things in life are at times taken for granted, and the simple things should be remembered and cherished every day.
