My Journey

Sometimes in life it seems like you are going through situations all alone and no one will ever understand. I want you to know that you are never alone, no matter the circumstances. God never leaves His children, nor does He forsake them. The pages of this book depict the journey that I have traveled from my childhood to this present day. On my journey there have been some ups and downs; some rough roads, hills, and valleys, some breakups, and some loss. But God has brought me through it all, and He continues to walk with me. I pray that this book will be a blessing to anyone who turns the pages. I, Felecia Powell was born in Houston, Tx in 1965. I am a widow and mother of three children. I married at the early age of sixteen and divorced five years later. Between 1990-1192, I was homeless. The grace of God kept me and protected me. In 1993 I moved to a small town in Texas called Jewett, where I now reside. During my life, from childhood to this present day, God has gifted me with the ability to write and sing. I began writing poetry at an early age. Now, I have put together just a few poems, songs, talks and plays to share with the world.
