My Book Log

A lovely journal for children to log their reading books, with prompts for book title, author, page count, date started, date finished, type of book, fiction genre or non-fiction topic, where the book came from, why they chose it, how it made them feel, who their favourite character was, what their favourite line was, would they recommend it, their ratings for the cover, plot, characters and ease of reading, further thoughts they have about the book, and their overall book rating. There are also pages for their own book index, books they'd like to read in the future and which books they've liked best. Keeping a book log encourages your child to actively consider and thoughtfully review the books they've read and creates a feeling of accomplishment when your child reads, leading them into a good habit of reading and learning on a regular basis.
